It is now halfway through the semester break and spent most of the time in the forex business/related business. Learnt a lot about business dealing, meeting people, talking to stranger, value adding to myself, how to present myself, learnt about investment, trying to seize the opportunity.
Stop and think. Am I moving too fast at my age? or should I just go travel or do other things?
Probably not. Thanks to all these things, I see myself growing to be a more business minded person. At least I am exposed to more things in this capitalism oriented economics. Am happy to learn all these things and sometimes you only realize how different you are when you talk to others. So, don't doubt what you do if you think you are doing right in the first step. When good things come, they come in bulk :)

Mugging
Why do I still mug so hard when the CAP is stuck in that class? Why do I still feel stress when I know that CAP doesn't mean everything? All these boil down to one simple reason : goal accomplishment.
I can stop mugging, go travel around or at least chill during exam period but I didn't do that. I can watch movie and study as and when I like. But as a student, getting good result is the most direct goal to set. Ultimately, it is to keep the driving force of overcoming the challenges on going. It is to get self satisfaction. It is to make sure that I work hard at every stage of my life. And at the same time to really learn something useful out of my degree. And this, is why I study hard.

This sentence does not only appear one or twice, up to now, I've received at least 5 from my Uni and related authorities.
One short and killing message I learned from this society : People do not give a damn shit on how hard you work, how many effort you put in, even though you fulfill all the requirements, you still need to be evaluated by them to get what you want.
Thank you. sincerely thank all of you for giving me this heart breaking disappointment again and again. I applied because I do not have the capability to get what I want yet, but this does not mean I am okay with all these rejections.
If you want to get something you want, work hard and get it, and never ever look for recognition from others, it also means that you don't need to follow the advice or opinion, because ultimately, you are the one who feel the most.

no topic
it's 2:26 now, bed is calling me.
but I guess this thought should be blogged before it vanishes.
more than often, we set goal and strive for it.
and many times, the ultimate result is what we thought that cheers us up.
then when we got it, look at it, enjoy for a couple of minutes, then it's either we set another goal or recall the process.
See, this constantly setting goal and recalling the experience is what we are seeking, not so much of the final result
We laugh at the moment we fell, we recall why we cried when we failed
The thing is we actually enjoyed all these moments but we did not realize.
We feel thankful for every incident happened when we achieved the goal but we refuse to acknowledge it when it happened.
We always asked for a smooth journey but a smooth journey makes us want to set a higher goal because somehow we know that there's challenges embedded in achieving that goal to be overcome
So, enjoy every second of the life. We may have wasted some time idling, doing unrelated stuff, but it does not matter, because time spent to make us happy, to make us experience new thing, to cause us mistake is not wasted.
every move we take, every step we walk will definitely give us something. Acknowledge this and live the fullest of your own life, write your very own story.

the hall called SHEARES
Time flies.
It really does.
At a very high speed.
So fast that it leaves nothing behind but memories.
And year 3 is coming to an end soon which means the days in Sheares start to wave hand to me, to farewell.
Sheares really gives me a complete uni life.
The vibrant environment, the harmony family culture such that everyone is so friendly and approachable.
Love the open door policy so much and of course the block event every week (but I always missed, tsk!)
The only regret is not joining much activities, because I gotta fly to GuangZhou during the CCA night! and it's my birthday, I remembered so clearly.
But well, probably it's fated. A year in Sheares is probably the most luxurious gift I got for my Uni life.
Like the chinese proverb goes : Don't care if it's eternal, I feel grateful to have it once!

Post CNY
Long awaited CNY has come to an end. SBS bus reaches on time, SMRT continues to send people to destinations, everything goes back to normal (but I din see the sun starts working in Singapore yet)
This CNY was good, although it's different from what I expected.
I guess at different stage of life, same festival carries different significance.
Well, when I was young, angpao was always the greatest concern. I tried to clock as many houses as possible to get more angpao, because CNY is the only time to grab free money.
Then now, because everyone starts working, home coming becomes something very rare.
Being able to meet friends gives me the greatest joy in this CNY.
We talked a lot, drank a lot and laughed a lot. Topics changed from school to work, assignment to money making, lecturers to bosses, holidays to leave taking.
I won't complain about these changes, it's part of the journey of life.
In fact, having these friends in my chapters, the same character for the book since chapter 1, I feel glad and proud. It's like seeing Emma Watson in Harry Potter 1 to 9 or 12, I dont know, I dont follow, but that's the idea.
So, CNY has became a publicly accepted reason for gathering, meeting up and staying up late with friends.
I really think that everyone should put in effort to gather, at least for an hour in 初一or初二 to sustain the friendship. Regardless of which field we are in now, we all built the purest and strongest foundation ten fifteen years back, when we do no foresee what's going to happen. In Civil Engineering aspect, we were like building hundreds of pile foundations into the granite. So, really, these kind of hard and rigid foundation can take any kind of buildings, regardless of the types, shapes or functions.
